http://rainbowdash.netI would fight to make that bright and innocent past our future once again. Even if it means dashing myself against the evil and cruelty of this wasteland until there is nothing left of me. And then, when I am too broken to go on, I will float my dying body right down the throat of the darkness and make it choke on me.

@rarity I am not convinced you could actually do that.

Quick and pointless, that's the death for me.

@thelastgherkin A more pressing question is "Why did that make him think of you?"

My fireteam would like me to stop referring to the pandemic in The Division as "Space AIDS"

Wow. It's certainly been a long time since I've had a "grape, it's 1AM" moment with a game

In the Dark Zone, it's kill or be killed.

Plus, proximity based chat allows me to question the sexual preference of anyone trying to kill me in real time.

This type of /actually/ emergent gameplay is the stuff Destiny should have had.

It's actually really heartening to see a group of players form a defensive perimeter around an extraction point to lay waste to the gankers trying to swipe peoples loot.

I'm bringing the Darkmoon Blades into the Division.

Anyway, I found a sniper rifle, so it's time to go into a PVP area and use it to make everyone else miserable.

Wow the whole game world is just falling apart here. Agents flying off to space, buildings cycling through various states of decay, day night cycles going...weird.

If anyone is still watching me play The Division, I'm getting the feeling "The Division" is the thing I keep falling into when the game fails to load the map

You know a quest in your F2P game is poorly designed when even paying real money isn't enough to pass it.

I also managed to clear "The Second Dream" questline in Warframe, which was pretty cool. It kind of irritates me that an entire avenue of character progression is gated behind a quest you /need/ at least one other player to pass, particularly when you can't replay quests, so something akin to Destiny's sherpa culture can't arise.

First person puzzle games screw me up in the weirdest way though. When I can't advance, I start to feel claustrophobic in real life, sweating, escalating to nausea, shivering, motion sickness and eventually, throwing up. Even if the puzzle environment is very open and not intrinsically claustrophobic, it'll still mess me up.

@northernnarwhal I mean, I don't honestly believe that playing specific games is indicative of intelligence or lack thereof, but it sure is a reliable ad hominem attack that people like to bust out to shut down debates.
-
@tiffany A little fat but otherwise lovely and very talented

@northernnarwhal I certainly don't "get" it, which I'm sure means I'm of low intelligence, but I honestly agree that gaming needs more interesting experiences and less yearly iterations. I think that's probably why that one other game with the baby goat got so much traction. There is a market for gamers who actually want to experience novelty.
-
@mrmattimation Yes, or how people keep giving Peter Molyneux money.
-
@tiffany Is it his small yet knowing eyes?

It'll be pretty nice to play a title where my worst enemy isn't the dev team.

I was ambiguous about it until the community lead straight up announced that they'd been "Observing how Bungie had handled Destiny" and that they wouldn't be going down the same road as them.
