@tenebarius Careful? It's currently 100% infringing.
-
@tenebarius My only concern about it (and I have voiced it previously) is that it maybe opens us to misdirected takedown requests. Yes, we're not actually hosting infringing content, but since when were lawyers actually smart?
-
@tenebarius It came out of a discussion Widget had with everyone about ways to improve user engagement rates. I don't remember if it was an idea he had by himself, or something someone else bought up.

@tenebarius You can never be in before the Illuminati. They are eternal.
-
Did I subscribe to "Crazy conspiracy nutjob weekly" at some point? Why am I getting emails headed "Gun control is treason perpetuated by an international conspiracy of Jewish bankers to undermine American freedoms"

I can’t be racist. I’m an Incubator.

@scribus I'd advocate either Nearlyfreespeech or Gandi depending on traffic. Of course, if you need something other than standard webservers you're out of luck with them.

Let's play "Let's do Ceruleans Job". Here are the rules: You must solve all technical problems immediately whilst laboring under the following constraints: You are not allowed to do any research, you must begin solving every problem immediately. You are not allowed to ask anyone for help You are not allowed to inconvenience anyone at all, including asking for diagnostics. You are not allowed to take any equipment offline. You are not allowed to purchase new equipment. You must stop work and change tasks immediately whenever it is requested (This will occur at random intervals). You may not take breaks. New problems may be inserted into your task queue at any time or priority. You may not define the priority of items in your task queue. You may not change any of the rules of the game. Any failure is unacceptable.

Your plane would fly pretty well, except it would be on fire the whole time, and then it would stop flying, and then stop being a plane.
-
@thelastgherkin Yes. That's exactly right.

@critialcloudkicker At a pre-release, you generally buy a "prerelease pack" of 6 boosters and build a deck out of that, with lands borrowed from the store. If you win, you'll get more boosters and anything else the store feels like giving you. Otherwise, you'll at least get to keep your pre-release pack. You only need to bring a life-counter (if you have one) and possibly a pen and paper to keep track of the game state.
-
@critialcloudkicker No, I've never been to one. Playing the way I enjoy (ridiculous stuff like worldfire) and winning at tournaments aren't compatible with each-other anyway.
-
@critialcloudkicker Getting +4 on Elspeth is actually far more likely than getting 9 lands for Worldfire and drawing Worldfire before I either lose the game or win some other way. My actual victory conditions are the far more likely "Beat them up with cheap Boros creatures and Batallion". Worldfire is just a novelty that appeals to me.
-
@critialcloudkicker I run Elspeth, Knight-Errant as well as keeping a bunch of cheap red-burns in the deck. In an ideal setup, Elspeth makes all my permanents indestructible and I wipe everyone out. In a non-optimal setup, I'm a mountain and lightning bolt draw away from victory. Also even if I don't win, Worldfire is hilarious.
