  2. @largist That's not the sound you make when you drink tea! D:

  3. @scribus It's good for pretty much anything. I'll have to see if I can get access to my friend's notes so I can show you what we did...it was pretty nicely made and almost always explained by hard science (thanks to yours truly :3)

  4. @woona That's...nice?

  5. @scribus Yeah, that always sucks...we worked pretty hard on it (she did more than me, since she was going to be the DM), but it looked like it was gonna be awesome. Here's a link if you wanna check it out. It's simple and awesome. http://www.mimgames.com/window/

  6. @cavatina I've got like, a bajillion chatt clients! Can do it on one of those.

  7. @nerthos Makes sense then. As a cleric my character probably would disdain it somewhat...but as a person, I might make her use ti anyways cuz technology gives me a wingpapayas >_>

  8. @scribus Yeah, they've got a real nice system. I've also seen a good roleplay system that can be adapted to custom campaigns, as long as you're willing to stat out what armors and weapons n' such would be like. Called 'The Window', and me and my friend used it to create a sci-fi campaign from scratch, using it for everything from spaceship combat to infantry shielding and weapon strength. Very fun and cool system...too bad we never got our game going :c

  9. @nerthos Wait, we're still talking about Fantasy? I DO love d20 Modern and Future, but I'm a big science and tech nerd too :p

  10. @scribus I TOTALLY don't mind. That's how I found out about Clerics, and since fell in love with the class.

  11. @scribus Speaking of werewolves, I've had the biggest urge to play Vampire: The Masquerade lately. Never played it, but my friend talks about it and I've played the Bloodlines game on PC, so it's so interesting. That, and White Wolf makes some pretty neat tabletop stuff.

  12. @nerthos Or trying to throw your gnome wizard in a second story building and accidentally throwing him right into the wall in front of you. Or beating your captors to death with table legs...ahh, good times.

  13. @scribus Character-based fun is always great. I always end up playing Clerics since no one else wants to (for a reason I'll never understand), and since I've got the healing in the party my characters tend to be somewhat...loud in their opinions of the others, especially when I need to Diplomacy over their political mistakes over and over.

  14. @bitshift I heard about Pathfinder, haven't really had the chance to try it. Looks somewhat decent though. I think it's like...3.75, for all intents and purposes, haha.

Thursday, 10-May-12 18:18:56 UTC from web in context
  15. @nerthos I can imagine. 4e is primarily meant for combat, which is fine and all, but I like some non-combat funstuff in my campaigns too.

Thursday, 10-May-12 18:14:52 UTC from web in context
  16. @bitshift Yeah, I also use the Inflict spells to heal my skeletons if I have any spare spells left over at the end of the day...I've got this prize skeleton I summoned from a somewhat unique demon we killed. Has bladed arms and runs 55ft per turn...and that's after she got gimped with a leg getting destroyed and me repairing it with random parts. It's cuh-razy.

  17. @scribus Oh yeah, it's currently on a major climb for all of us, but we're also playing a slightly modified campaign with some extra stuff. There's only 4 of us (3 sometimes, as one person tends to drop out here and there for a day), so we end up fighting mobs of enemies with DR and fast-healing. Thankfully I am the tank/healer and our other two that are present are usually damager caster and damage/tank or damage arrows. I just prestiged to a homebrew class, allowed by the DM, so that'll help me get fairly stronger. Clerics get nuts later on anyways, which is why I <3 them.

Thursday, 10-May-12 18:12:56 UTC from web in context
  18. @nerthos Oh, yeah. I think I can still cast that as a cleric, otherwise our main caster would be able to, haha.

Thursday, 10-May-12 18:10:25 UTC from web in context
  19. @nerthos Never played 2.0, only played 3.5, which seems to be the best for most situations. I don't like a lot of 4e's races and such either.

Thursday, 10-May-12 18:08:38 UTC from web in context
  20. @scribus Yeah, we play 3.5 because 4e is...weird. I like 3.5 more, has better storytelling aspects even if the combat can get a little awkward.

Thursday, 10-May-12 18:07:22 UTC from web in context
  21. @ceruleanspark Oh god no. But a lot of them are starting to get reach now, which is awful annoying for my melee cleric >:C

Thursday, 10-May-12 18:04:40 UTC from web in context
  22. @bitshift Clerics do too, but with the Healing domain I can spontaneously cast a Cure spell from any I have, so most of my prepared are painful or useful spells till I need to heal. I also have the Death domain, so that gives me some nice stuff like Death Knell (though most enemies in this campaign regenerate, so we have to kill them dead) and Animate Dead as domain spells, plus an instant kill supernatural power :D

  23. So last night our DM learned the hard way (despite it having been stated and it also being pretty obvious) that grappling Clerics is a terrible idea. Me, being the grappled by a larger creature than I, simply started to instantly cast Inflict Serious/Moderate/Light wounds in quick succession until it died in horrible death. EAT IT DM, HA >:D

  24. @bitshift That sounds good! I've been trying to reformant my old Acer (circa 2008) but it's been giving me troubles. Poor girl has gone around the world with me, haha.

Thursday, 10-May-12 17:49:58 UTC from web in context
  25. @bitshift Alrighty! Did you get a new machine recently or just reformatting? I'll be drunk then, so it'll be even more ridiculous >:D

Thursday, 10-May-12 17:41:54 UTC from web in context
  26. @mushi Awww...well, maybe someone else will wanna play...? We can always play later! I know I'm gonna be drunk all tonight :p

  28. So animating the skeletons of the demons we're fighting to make a demon skeleton army as cannon fodder is working GREAT in D&D. Why didn't I think of this before!?
