@cavatina It seems to happen with every laptop after a while.. my power chord is practically new but it just started having problems with staying connected. Consequently my laptop has died on me a couple times tonight so far

@pony my laptop is starting to overheat and shut off. Now the fans almost always run at full even if it's just idling. I wonder what melted inside.

@renovatedkitchen xP My previous laptop used to burn me if I held it wrong. Stupid machine damaged both its original HDD and a new one I bought for it. ugh*

@pony last time I touched it underneath after playing a game, the metal bracket for docking it game me a burn across my palm. It also now creaks every time you touch it, more than U-571 diving too deep.

@renovatedkitchen Ah that's no good. I tried opening mine up to see if i could clean it.. I didn't know what I was doing and just ended up cracking the casing a little.

@pony meh. The creaking is the least of my worries. Last time I opened mine to replace the Bluetooth card, I lost a bunch of the screws (don't take things apart on your bed, lesson learned). On the bright side, I have a replaceable video card.

@renovatedkitchen I'm just glad my family gave me a new laptop. I was running Linux off a disc in order to use it at all due to the HDD failing. At least it got me more familial with Ubuntu which I've since come to miss.

@pony that's good, and a bummer. Do you need a new laptop HDD? I could send you one. Although its only like 160gb's. Luckily my current HDD has lasted me quite a long time. It's one of those SSD/HDD hybrids.
