  1. My word processor can only save in .doc format. I don't necessarily NEED to be able to save it in .docx format but it would make me more comfortable.

      1. @jamster I don't use MS Office because i don't want to pay money. I use some free alternative but apparently strict patent laws keep free processors from saving in .docx.

        1. @critialcloudkicker What's wrong with .docx? It's literally just the .doc format but more feature rich.

          1. @mrmattimation The last time I checked it was still a pain to deal with if you worked cross platform... There is a reason I save a LOT of things in plain TXT
