  1. I looked up on the Apple forums if they made USB 3.0 cables for the iPhone. It's just a bunch of people talking about how USB 3.0 is awful and people should just learn to get used to Wi-Fi syncing. This is why I'm ashamed that I like Apple.

    2. @mrmattimation Lightning/Thunderbolt/Whatever the hell they're calling it this week /is/ a better standard than USB3. Just like how Firewire was a better standard than USB2. That worked out super well for Apple as well.

      1. @cinnamonswirl I'm talking about using USB 3.0 technology for transferring data to an iPhone. I'm not referring to the fairly awesome technology Apple currently ships with their computers.

        1. @mrmattimation It still doesn't work that way. The iPhone doesn't have a USB 3 controller in it, so it wouldn't be able to communicate with the port at USB3 speeds, even if you did have the cable.

          1. @cinnamonswirl That was entirely my point. The forum I looked at is just people condemning USB3 when it would be so nice if Apple managed to put a USB3 controller in their cell phones.
