  1. Every time I wake up and watch a youtube video, the volume is always super mangoesing loud and painful to listen to. By the time I'm going to sleep, that same volume is too quiet.

    1. @thewaifutyphoon The easiest explanation is that there's less white noise and it's generally quieter at night, so your ears aren't accustomed to the level of sound they usually are by the end of the day.

      1. @northernnarwhal Either that, or aliens.

        1. @scribus Are you saying there are extraterrestrials that probe Ross at night?

          1. @northernnarwhal oh I just thought that was you

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:28:47 UTC from web
            1. @thewaifutyphoon I'm not an extraterrestrial

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:29:19 UTC from web
          2. @northernnarwhal I am not at liberty to confirm or deny this.

            1. @scribus Are you an alien scribus?

              1. @northernnarwhal Aren't we all?

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:43:47 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                1. @scribus That's something an alien would say

                  1. @northernnarwhal ESPECIALLY IF WE'RE ALL ALIENS!

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:44:48 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                    1. @scribus If we're all aliens, following that logic, wouldn't that simultaneously make none of us aliens?

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:47:22 UTC from web
                      1. @northernnarwhal Only to our own perspective.

                        1. @scribus Speaking of aliens, how goes the novel?

                          1. @northernnarwhal I'm finally working on it again! Haven't finished the first chapter of the second draft, but I'm on it again. Hoping to get it finished this year & ready for more revision/editing.

                            1. @scribus Sounds good! Hopefully you're still enjoying writing too?

                              1. @northernnarwhal Yes. It's coming back to me. :)

                                1. @scribus That's really great to hear. I've never really been able to get into writing as I feel I'm never happy with what I write and that I lack the creativity, but it's always nice to see people around me writing.

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 16:16:41 UTC from web
                                  1. @northernnarwhal Yeah, a lot of writing is getting over how bad it is with the knowledge that it can be made better, but only if it's made in the first place.

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 16:21:11 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                    1. @scribus Yeah, the first steps are pretty difficult as well. Coming up with a setting and premise for your story, as well as characters to inhabit it.

                                      1. @northernnarwhal NaNoWriMo was great for that; not so good for focused, "I already know what I want" writing.

      2. @northernnarwhal if it's quieter at night (and there's literally no volume difference in my room. The entire neighborhood is quiet at all times minus the occasional moron blaring Tech 9), wouldn't it be just as loud at night?

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:25:36 UTC from web
        1. @thewaifutyphoon Oh c'mon Tech9 isn't that bad he just hasn't really done much new with his style as of late

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:26:44 UTC from web
          1. @northernnarwhal I actually like Tech 9 but it kiwiing drives me insane when <insert brainless tool here> is driving by at 1 mile per hour or parked next door and blaring that past his stereo's safe levels and it just sounds like kiwi

            1. @thewaifutyphoon Yeah, I generally don't play my music too loud so as to not disturb my family and even when I'm home alone it's never loud enough that I would be able to hear it if I was a few metres outside my house.

Wednesday, 09-Jul-14 15:32:18 UTC from web
              1. @northernnarwhal well, actually you can't even hear what the music really is besides the bass which is blown out of proportion compared to everything else

                1. @thewaifutyphoon Oh yeah, those people. Don't thank the sound engineer for his hard work mixing the song, just bass boost the apples outta the EQ and call it a day
