    1. I'm curious, why do people prefer all these different API style .. things instead of just doing it the working and old fashioned way of going to the actual site? Sounds like more work to me.

      1. @mrdragon It allows people to choose a different UI, it allows them to not go to a website, it allows them to embed it, the reasons are as varied as the people who choose them. It helps to not think of this *as* a site, because it's not- it's really a service. The "site" is nothing more than just another means of access the service through the API.

      2. @mrdragon It is more work, but when someone wants something enough they are willing to put in the work required to get it especially if it will save them more work later on.
