@rarity The story of Wilson and his racist apologists has never stood up to scrutiny. Given the long history of institutionalized racism in the US, this doesn't surprise me at all.

@rarity It isn't going to be different; George Zimmerman's "innocence" proved that it is "open season" on blacks. I just hope that the police aren't able to provoke a riot, as this will give Tea Party fascists an excuse to shoot blacks.

@rarity However, riots are counter-productive. This is why the police provoke them; they turn public opinion against protesters. Another trick is to show the cops in riot gear and let the media see it, for it makes the protesters seem dangerous. Of course, the cops weren't in riot gear when confronting Cliven Bundy's fascists. Furthermore, white fascists who aimed guns at the cops were not charged in that case.

@m14brony what's really steamed me was recently that white guy who killed a couple cops in Pennsylvania, was on the run for /almost a month/, and then arrested peacefully and unharmed

@rarity Similarly, the KKK never got in trouble for their terroristic threats. Formal equality exists on paper, but the goals of the Civil Rights Movement have not been achieved.
