@scribus I mean hey, it wouldn't be the worst purchase ever, and I honestly am not versed in this kind of thing at all. I personally wouldn't recommend them particularly but they're not bad or anything

@tiffany I'm looking, in the future, to get a badass Macbook Pro for productivity and a nice enough little laptop for goofing off.

@scribus I've using a MacBook Pro for schoolwork and personal projects for the past half year-ish and it's been great, it's a powerful and reliable machine that meets all my needs.

@scribus That's definitely a good idea. I think my lappy is incompatible (somewhat) with Win10, so in that regard it might be tough to be sure what products will work long-term, but I'm sure people who aren't me can give you some great advice

@scribus I honestly can't advise you on laptop brands. I currently alternate between my Toshiba and my Cintiq and the Toshiba is pretty ugly and the case feels cheap but it's really durable and aside from my battery being shot I've been using it for two years now and it runs fine.

@scribus Mine overheated and died after like a year and a half of use. I don't know if that was just an issue for mine or if it was a more widespread issue.

@mrmattimation Bummer. I had a Dell do that to me once, but I've also had a Dell that lasted me like ten years and could have gone longer if I hadn't worn out the keyboard.
