@hakupony Yes it is something I'm passionate about, but I believe that the way that's all handle IRL, having stupid big rainbow parades and people dressed in retarded camp torn off murdock is just obnoxious, and is one of the very reasons homophobia is still present

@purplephish20 I'd disagree on some things there, but for me, we could very well get rid of the big parades - I try to avoid them whenever possible. I do other stuff :)

@hakupony So what EXACTLY would you disagree with? What I'm referring to is things like the film "bruno" which just make out that gay/bi = outrageously camp sexual degenerate, which couldn't be further from the truth

@purplephish20 Well, Bruno... let's say I disapprove. In my humble POV, it is problematic that there are certain things "the gay community" expects you to like if you are gay - and I still prefer Metallica over Madonna. But still - I do think it is beneficil to do some actions in drag because it shows presence. Same thinng with parades. I know that lesbians often have the problem to not be visible which is a problem if you want to get people to know that you are treaded worse as the majority in some regards. and there is one thing I might add: I lived in a small town without things as the CSD before and now in a bigger town with a CSD. It really makes much of a difference - I am much more free over here - not just because I get opressed but because I feel I can do so many more things here.

@hakupony Yeah... That's quite simply it, my thoughts on Bruno were... Exactly what Sacha baron cohen aimed to achieve, something extremely offensive for the sake of publicity. It was a terrible idea and image, and I loved borat!

@purplephish20 There are verious ways to make fun of a thing - and I don't have a problem if you make fun at hetero- or bisexuality. Bruno just did it the bad way.

@hakupony Well, since two days ago we (Finland) are now the only Nordic country without marriage equality including full adoption rights.
