@comradeconventrix I know it will probably be hard to want to be the best you can be, but I have faith in you. You fight for what you believe in, are ready to put your life on the line for your platoon and your country and you love ponies. To me that is a recipe for a good father.

@comradeconventrix but likening something like mlp shows that you aren't afraid to show your soft side. And kids love to feel comforted and loved by their parents. Hitting and yelling never solves anything.

@mrdragon precisely. You can't go buy the kid every thing it wants. It has to know what's right and wrong on its own, but beating it or yelling at it will definitely have a negative effect in it's later life.

@comradeconventrix *hugs* I know you will. Anyone who cares about being a father sure will be one. My mom always reminds me that back when I was 5, I walked up to her and told her that the most portent job in the world is to be a father. It inspires me that I said that at such a young age. I have a lot of faith in you.
