  1. But back to the tech thing. Dell says that because my HDD has over 4k sectors I need to install a driver before installing an OS. I think they just don't want to admit fault for something else. Anypony have and clue who is right?

    1. @eaglehooves Can you even install a driver before installing an OS? As far as I know drivers are OS-dependent, or am I mistaking?

      1. @omni Windows lets you install RAID or SAS drivers between accepting the terms and loading the OS, but usually that only applies to servers.

              1. @renovatedkitchen It's in AHCI. I could go ATA, but that would cause as much pain as it would solve.

    3. @eaglehooves download the model specific ACHI/RAID driver, put it on a USB stick, load windows install, and click "load drivers" when it asks you to.
