@administrator I don't know, there's plenty of fan sites for lots of different shows, movies, etc. and some of them are both really huge and have been around for a long time. How do they manage to not get shut down? I thought a little "this is a not-for-profit site and is in no way affiliated with blablah" note + fair use claim was all you needed.

@administrator you're not making much of a profit off of this, and so far no scandals harming people in real life are associated with this website. I think we'll be fine~

@starshine That alone does not make me impervious to legal threats... Infact, I've been thinking of moving the server to Iceland or Sweden where I wouldn't have to worry about this sort of thing. US Laws are not particularly clearcut ATM, and with the COICA and ACTA floating around... its not going to be very safe to host in the US anymore.

@administrator I don't think that running a social networking site that's related to a cartoon is really very similar to running a website that facilitates downloading of copyrighted content. Not saying the law isn't a grey area, but I don't see how this site could be argued to be depriving anyone of income (Hasbro aren't exactly in this field).

@mithent Well if not the content itself, the domain itself using "Rainbowdash" is supposedly trademarked, so I am open to attack. Either through the courts, or ICANN Arbitration.
