Caught up on yesterday evenings RDN happenings via my RSS. To the people who are convinced RDN is going downhill. It's not going downhill so much as it is growing. There will be a transitionary period where people have to get used to the idea of using their personal timeline and following people to communicate with them instead of just using public all the time. Look at Twitter. Attempting to follow their public timeline would give you a seizure as your brain tries to kill itself from the sheer speed and quantity of stupidity it's trying to process.

@ceruleanspark Aww...That's no fun, though. How do you meet new people, then? Kinda makes it a gated community, like Twitter. Which is alright, for that kinda thing.

@musicssound I'm really just saying people can't have it both ways. Part of meeting new people is dealing with the ones you don't like. Either they need to learn to deal with the stupid attention seekers to find new people that they like, or they need to be content to deal with the twitter-like methods of user discovery like groups, tags and checking out who your friends follow.
