      @abigpony I am totally jealous. They have an animation course at my university, but it has a bunch of really stupid prerequisites like Photoshop, Illustrator, a film-making course, I think film history (wtf)... so it's pretty much impossible to get into

      @abigpony considering that I attempted to figure out Flash on my own and got absolutely nowhere with it, even a crappy class would help.

      @abigpony like I *just* said, I did that and could not understand wtf I was doing. I clicked around for a week and couldn't figure out how to make anything happen.

      @abigpony it might be easy for some, but I think I'm just really stupid when it comes to anything graphical. I can't get my head past 3D game engines either, and I have been told that those are really easy to work with too.

      @abigpony Oh. Programming. I have been doing that stuff for years though, and I have most of the requirements for my major covered, so I'm taking "interesting" courses like astronomy and music history.

      @abigpony Programming is logical! Plus I couldn't grasp Flash's user interface. It was entirely non-obvious to me where to click in order to add something to the display. I couldn't get it to play a sound or even show a square on the screen, much less move it. I could at least figure out how to make a cube in Blender. (Never got past the "well, there's an empty world, now what?" step when I tried Ogre3D though.)
