@ceruleanspark I really appreciate that. That's one thing that really stood out about this show and the fandom to me. All of the major circuit TV shows seem to be based on anti-heroes and tragedy. Breaking Bad, Ray Donovan, Dexter, Homeland. Even music is seldom critically acclaimed unless it's somehow nihilistic or introspective. I kind of admire how simple and sincere MLP is in defiance of that trend.

@randomwonderbolt Amen to that. The whole gist of the show is compassion and understanding, so it's pretty lame that he doesn't feel like it's positive enough here anymore.

@renny That's the weird thing. He doesn't seem too shaken up about it if you ask him. I guess just because it was when he was really young. It's just kind of a thing to him now I suppose.

@flamingpandaomg Wow, that's intense. It's just so strange to see how people grow apart like that. I'm thankful I've never had a friend die on me. A good friend of mine once had a friend die in his hands. They'd slipped in the bathroom and cracked their head on something when they were both really young.
