@thatbrickster @sim @rye I was talking about carrying though. Here you can own one as long as you're a legal adult, have no criminal record, and submit the proper forms. The 25 years age restriction is for being able to carry a gun ready to be used, on top of other paperwork like having a steady job and having a shooting instructor certify you're fully capable.

@sim @rye It comes down to what stage of life you're in. Usually with <5 years you're safe in that regard, though there are exceptions.

@sim @rye TBH if it were up to me I'd just let it follow the natural change in taste. You won't be into 14 year olds when you're 30 even if no one tells you you can't, simply because you won't be able to stand their 14 year old personalities by then.
Not to mention maturity is a per-individual thing. -

@dolus @thatbrickster Hopefully, still doesn't mean it didn't take them four or five generations of CPUs to start getting good at it. It's like building cars with lowered suspension as the standard but not bothering to fix roads for 15 years. You keep an entire generation from driving as fast as they could be driving.
