@flaredancer Good day/night/whatever :D
-
@flaredancer Hahaha, I had exactly the opposite problem. "Cut his hair short" "I don't want my hair short" "You'll have it short." Like that until I was 13.
-
@flaredancer That's VERY short. Long hair is comfortable once it gets past a certain point and you can tie part of it. Semi-long or just free, it can be very bothersome. What I know about sewing I've learned most by myself. My grandma and mother taught me some of the very basics, but past that trying to get anything from them just ends up in long winded arguments of my method against their methods. It's just like that with them.

@flaredancer Hemming pants is really easy. I should totally go to California some time. Teach you about tailoring, and help Scribus with his LARP equipment xD You could just copy the clothes you like, giving a couple more/few cms where it's needed. It's only a matter of trying a couple times until you get the hang of it. And there are some really cheap types of cloth you can buy to try ideas on. You only need patience, a sewing machine, thread and cloth. About the hair, it's not that impressive, I just don't cut it. No fancy treatments or anything, just shampoo (or soap when there's only those fancy lady shampoos xD) once in a while.
-
@flaredancer Why not modify your clothes a bit? It's only basic tailoring. Also, don't you get tanned by wearing that? Short hair looks really nice on women. In me, not so much. If I keep it short, I need to use outrageous amounts of wax or gel to keep it in shape, so I just keep it long. 65cm right now.

@flaredancer Your parents sound cool. Guess it's also related to the kind of clothes each person likes to wear. I, for example, won't use anything without sleeves when exposed to the sun, to avoid getting tanned/burnt. I'm the kind who likes to wear boots, jeans, a high-collared shirt, protective chestwear, like a leather vest or stuff like that, gloves, and a duster or such on top of that. There's no way I could wear all that on summer.

@flaredancer That's awfully high for my tastes. That's like, 35ºC? My body literally can't work at more than 50% it's usual capabilities in that heat.
-
@flaredancer i'm used to this this, but i'm ussually inside my house ever when it is that hot
-
@flaredancer that is hot. a lot
-

@flaredancer I only know one person who did that, but they went on to owna small farm so it makes sense.
-
@flaredancer I've never heard of people buying chicks for easter, but I know it happens with rabbits, but they tend to just release those into my local wetlands. Same goes with cats, but they tend to release those into central park. I don't even know any places that sell chicks around here. Most any holiday really enforces the idea of buying the kids pets.
-
@flaredancer same here, it's just disappointing to know it happens.
-
@flaredancer I do too, but I just find baby animals like kittens and puppies overhyped and all too often feel adult pets are forgotten about.
-
@flaredancer @yodelerty there's a service in CA that allows you to rest puppies.. Now I wonder if they do kittens
-
@flaredancer I like cats, but not a big fan of kittens.
-
-
@flaredancer Kittens usually are. Make sure they keep that youthful spirit forever.
-
@flaredancer Too afraid of my other cat to be downstairs much, but he does when he is.
-
@flaredancer It's probably the same way cats learned how to make lolcats.
-
@flaredancer oomf oh you *giggles* Silly Kitty *cuddles* <3
-
@flaredancer joke's on you. I HAVE a Maru.
-
@flaredancer *smiles* I love you too <3
-
@flaredancer Whoa! How you a cat learn to computer?
-
@flaredancer I don't like cats.
-
@flaredancer Thank you love, we are and we will survive.

@flaredancer That video was pretty well-produced considering it was just a 40-second clip of a cat walking around with a toy in its mouth.
