Playing Assassin's Creed II, I am bloody LOVING this game! The AC1 was really good, but this makes it look like Sonic 06 in comparison! !vgp

Think I'm nearing the end of Gears of War 3. Not sure if it's shorter than 1 and 2 ,or easier ,or more addictive than 2. (which was bananas) Turned the game off, I'm gonna turn it in for the night...well, remainder of the morning technically, but yeah. I'll finish it tomorrow. Then I'll get it sent back to Love Film (can't be arsed replaying it on Insane, even in Co Op) and get another game sent out to me. !vgp

I've been playing Assassin's Creed II pretty much all day (never managed to do that with the AC1) gonna play my Gears 3 rental for a bit. !vgp

Odd, there never seem to be any Secondary Memories available in Assassin's Creed II thus far, at the very most 1 or 2 at a time. :S !vgp

@metal It was a really good game, but it had its niggles ,one of them being a lack of variety in mission types which resulted in reptition.

Games to play when I get back: Gears of War 2 (just have to finish), Gears of War 3, Assassin's Creed 2 (just have to finish), Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Space Marine, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, BRINK, Duke Nukem Forever (yeah, I know), Battlefield 3, Dead Island, Frozen Synapse, Red Orchestra 2 and a host of other online games (SC2, Minecraft, Terraria, etc.) !vgp

@communistprime I don't blame you, the second Gears of war game was a total bore, and it had one of the most overbearing plot elements I've ever seen in a video game, that being Dom's wife. Gears 3 has already been a LOT better thus far.

@leonkfox I just didn't finish it because I got another game, I think. I don't get bothered by a lot of stuff in games that bother most other people unless it's REALLY BAD. I've also got a couple really small things that'll just ruin a game for me if I notice'em.

@communistprime I did finish it, but it was with great effort. I was glad when the credits screen rolled, knowing I'd never have to play it ever again.

OH YEAH I just found the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Digitally Remastered HD Edition for the PS3 today while looking for something at the shop over here. TOTALLY bought that, played it a bit earlier...man, that horse is hard to control. !vgp

@madflavors I never played ICO (till today, just for a bit), but I beat Shadow of the Colossus like, 4-5 times. I beat 9 of them today, I think...took me a while to get back into the groove of things.

@leonkfox Not really, its quite a long main story actually... It just too good to rush, but on my second playthrough i did the story and NOTHING else, to try and keep up the drama of it

Was having some trouble getting out of Eagle Vision in Assassin's Creed 2, turns out you have to hold Y now, rather than just pressing it. !vgp

!vgp I picked up the last Dark souls collectors edition they had at gamestop today! I rented this from a redbox earlier and i just so had to pick it up.. also fingers crossed that im going to be able to get a seasonal job at gamestop as well since im unemployed.. :/

@dashidash Also a bunch of tips: Buy hundreds of arrows for the Hellkite dragon (get that tail cause the subsequent sword rocks); The Bull Demon's fun to pounce on from the tower top; the Capra demon's falling animation is extra-long and good for getting in a lot of hits and for the love of GOD make sure you find the goddamn blacksmith in Undead Parish before Blight Town cause there's no way back up after that save through the hell that is that level. These are all things I've learned the hard way through a lot of death.

@leonkfox I mean you can completely die and respawn without a mission failed screen as long as one person is still alive. Kinda like halo co-op.

@fallinwinter ...Wow, cheap much? It was fun doing that in Halo, but in Gears it would take all of the tension away, I'm imagining it would feel like that anyway.

@leonkfox if you want cheap, wait till you unlock mutators (equivalent to skulls). Instagib (melee to almost any enemy except some bosses is an insta-kill), super active (active reload has no timer and replaces any active bullet fired with a normal one so an active sniper gives one active shot and one regular shot before reloading. Also active bullets do crazy damage. Gunkers on insane die in half a lancer clip with active.), and infinite ammo (all starting weapons 'hammerburst, lancer, and both shotguns' and all pistols have infinite ammo though you still have to reload.) Insane is a cake walk with these on.
