@jojo Unfortunately, I don't get to make that distinction. If it's vaguely computer related, it's entirely my problem.

@jojo I like a challenge too. I could just do without the abuse. Terminal server, local to me, remote to the user isn't letting VPN connected users authenticate. However, when I connect via the VPN, I can authenticate fine. Diagnose and fix this problem without asking the remote user to do anything.

@jojo I think they were just having trouble judging the mood of the event. Once they'd got a handle on the fact that more than half of us were bothered by what was happening, they stopped.

@jojo 22 here, so I'm one of, if not the, eldest there. When they were blasting the music and yelling in the street I could not facepalm hard enough TBH. Especially given the number of cops around. That said, I travelled with @cptscoot, who is one of the younger ones, and who was equally bothered by it.

@jojo I think the full age range was from about 16 at the youngest to mid 20's at the eldest.

@jojo Surely a contained event on dedicated premises would be safe? Then you don't have to worry about people seeing and associating you with the inevitable idiocy that goes on within.

@jojo I guess if you show up to a meetup with 10 people who already know each other and don't know anyone, it's kind of weird to try and fit in. Doubly weird if they're carrying a flag and blasting pony music on some portable iPod speakers.
