First hickup I've had with it, Debian and Ubuntu have always given a lot of issues to me. Guess there is no perfect distro, just one being better than another for a certain user. But well, removing ~\/.pulse after uninstalling PulseAudio fixed everything. Sound in SDL applications was restored and Firefox and Thunderbird stopped freezing all the time."}
