But I can't do anything against these topics in RP now, it's canon for the ponyverse! Sooner rather than later, I'll probably drop ponyRP. || However, it influences general fanart as well. There was already some skew towards exploring darker themes and saucier themes in fanart, as the motivation for it was often ,&quot;What if...?&quot; Or &quot;If this weren't limited by the rating, this would happen!&quot; That's fine, but with more canon elements being darker, fanwork gets even heavier and more violent still, as if to comphensate. Now, I often find myself unwilling to try a new artist's comic, or to view the new fan animation, or to read the new fanfic. After all, the last 5 were unhappy\/violent. Why would this one be different?"}
