The idea is that if the state is doing well, then the people in it must also be doing well (if this sounds just like &quot;trickle-down economics&quot; to you, then you should be able to understand why this doesn't actually work). Socialism is for the benefit of the people- if the people are doing well, then the state will also do well."}
