I was poking around some music stores, checking out basses. I think I want to upgrade to an Engelhardt ES1, but to my ears an EC1 (which I had to sell when I moved 'cause it wouldn't fit in my car, boo!) sounds just as good. One of the stores had a violin for $35. I was like 'Holy crap, a $35 violin, I MUST HAVE IT!', so I bought it. I'm used to bass prices, and the cheapest bass you'll find is $500, so seeing an instrument from the same family for $35 blew my mind, and I had to have it. I don't play it 'cause I make it sound bad and the treble clef is weird, but I have it."}
