Maybe tolerating them as a person is similar, but it sounds grudging or lukewarm when i say, &quot;I tolerate you,&quot; instead of, &quot;I respect you.&quot; When it comes to their actions, saying, &quot;I respect what you're doing,&quot; shows approval and warmth where, &quot;I tolerate what you're doing,&quot; sounds again like I don't approve. I don't see the point of just going along with\/tolerating something that could hurt somepony. Love spurs us to action, not passive coexistence."}
