Maybe have a &quot;Make my privacy settings like:&quot; box with options to make it like facebook (Symmetric following required to view content) or Twitter (Everyone sees everything) or the current dynamic setup. A lot of people have said they don't like the asymmetric &quot;friend&quot; system, so a simple &quot;Make it so people I don't add can't see  my content&quot; option seems like a good compromise."}
