First off, why would I even want to learn an OS that quite honestly flopped ? Next thing you know Microsoft is announcing Windows 9 http:\/\/pny.lv\/371r<\/a> , another reason to hold back on Windows 8 from my perspective. Now should you ask what Windows 8 did wrong, here's a couple of things. It has a split personality, trying to cater to both traditional mouse\/keyboard users and touch-input users. The UI just feels like it was a step backwards to incorporate both methods and a "new" feature such as syncing wallapers. Hot Corners irk me a WHOLE lot. Another thing is really just "because everyone is doing it", and I am talking about product integration. Google and Apple have a giant leg up on what Microsoft is offering currently and for some reason it is ( deliberately ? ) hard to just say "nah, I think I will use google stuff instead" without saying "stupid paperclip, go away""}
