If you already have an explanation or expectations of a scare going in, all of power in it dies. B&gt; It makes effective use of low-resolution graphics (see A) and color choices for effective ambiance and emotion-control of the player particularly when the game shifts towards the glitch-city kind of vibe. C&gt; Given nothing more of an intro than &quot;we need more games like this!&quot; when linked to the game, and having Apple Bloom as one of my favorite characters, the prospect of HER DYING is that much more horrifying. D&gt; It's interactive. It doesn't depend on pre-built tension to work. Rather, it depends more on player\/character sync. E&gt; I don't read horror fics. I pretty much won't read a fanfic unless it's short and clopfic or humor. Period. More reason why SotB caught me off guard.
