I was reading The Hidden War by Artyom Borovik the last few days, it's about the withdrawl of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.  They were deathly afraid that if by the date of 15 February not every Soviet troop was out of Afghanistan they'd end up voiding the agreements made betwixt themselves and the mujaheddin altogether."}
