A film can still, at its core, be a popcorn flick driven by Stuff Happening, but it can also simultaneously be really smartly written (see: District 9). Lots of action flicks aren't my personal go-to for films I tend to be interested in, but it's undeniable that it still takes incredibly strong filmmaking craft to really effectively create a strong action film."}
