I used to think that &quot;if x {continue;}&quot; meant that it would stop the code from executing further if x wasn't true, which was weird but made the most sense to me because of what &quot;continue&quot; normally means. The actual functionality that &quot;continue&quot; gives in coding seems like it should have a name like &quot;skip&quot; or something."}
