Although I\u2019ve tried, in recent years, to downplay it, I think it\u2019s impossible to really deny just how influential Eddsworld was to me. I wonder a lot if what I\u2019m doing meets the standard that his work sets. Am I using that influence to carry on his legacy? Or am I doing him a disservice, like robbing his grave and stripping him of what made him so highly regarded in an attempt to further my own career? Am I a representative of the generation he inspired, a piece of the future, or am I merely a phony, a copycat who clings to the past? These thoughts go through my head a lot. I still wish he\u2019d been around to see it. His death inspired me to take animation seriously as an art form, but the truth is that I\u2019d trade that all away, because I don\u2019t think my presence in this game comes anywhere close to making up for what was lost ten years ago."}
