I love KDE but the current version is unusable. The same goes for GNOME, which is furthermore hampered by being unusable because of UX reasons. Even the "classic" Gnome is horrible performance-wise. MATE is a tad better but I don't like it. The only real choice I have is XFCE. It is fine with a huge GNOME-influenced asterisk. I'm looking into Enlightenment but it also irks me a lot."}
