There's the regular part connected to the car park, with signed gravel paths and fences and all that niceness. Then there's a firebreak, and the un-pathed (larger) section of the woods. The effects I describe start as you enter the post-firebreak section of the woods. They can be reliably experienced by any visitor to the area, notably including those who are lead into the area unaware of it's alleged properties. \n\nAs you pass beyond the firebreak, you'll start to experience, a gradually building sense of unease. The deeper you go into the forested area, the greater this sense will become. The hairs on the back of your neck stand up, and you'll begin to get a sense that you're being watched."}
