@captainmilo I hear more than enough pop daily, over radio and the likes, but I never hear anything that sparkles my interest. Only the same story over and over, mostly songs talking about how awesome sex is. I agree that it is music and I won't say others aren't allowed to enjoy it (sorry for my rude comment earlier, I shouldn't have done that) but from the hundreds of pop songs I have heard I haven't ever heard a single one I could accept. Due to my childhood, alternative music lyrics are much more enjoyable and "easier to digest" to me than sex-related pop music. Also, you have a different definition than I have. In my definition, Noise bands like Merzbow fall under my definition of music as well, which in your definition doesn't seem the case. Again, I'm sorry for my rude remark, seeing how I overreacted due to the general issues I have with the general lyrical themes of pop music, the one you listed not being an exception. I'm sorry. I'll try to not overreact like that again.
