<html>I'm a bit torn about Tinker's essay. I completely agree that these kinds of slurs and language should be avoided for public relations things like BronyCon, but I also feel that this kind of language has it's place on non-PG rated shows like Mulberry's Circle Jerk. (The title should be enough to warn anyone that harsh language and questionable content are on the show.) *sigh* I am involved in the queer community, but I don't find homophobic or transphobic slurs to be particularly offense when said in jest, except as part of serious communications with the public. (For instance, I'm fine with Mulberry saying &amp;quot; The BronyTV guys are gaying up my circlejerk.&amp;quot; But I'm not cool with, say, reading a fanfic that descriminates against any member of the LGBT community.) .... &lt;a href=&quot;http://purpletinker.deviantart.com/journal/Homophobia-amp-Transphobia-in-the-Brony-Fandom-296685888&quot; title=&quot;http://purpletinker.deviantart.com/journal/Homophobia-amp-Transphobia-in-the-Brony-Fandom-296685888&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow external&quot;&gt;http://purpletinker.deviantart.com/journal/Homophobia-amp-Transphobia-in-the-Brony-Fandom-296685888&lt;/a&gt;</html>
