Too many people have gotten the idea that &quot;liking this show will make you HIP and RADICAL&quot; or something, and they're gonna ride the horse for as long as they get fame and/or fortune out of it. Pushing it to anything with a pulse is one of the prime methods of acquiring said fame/fortune for them, even if it hurts the impression of the overall fandom. Sad but true facts about life; we're just another meme to a significant chunk of the population.
