They're very social and smart for such a little thing.  I used to know someone who taught her rats how to play 'basketball'. AKA the rat would get a little plastic(?) basketball and put it in a little hoop. It was adorable! And if you get one from a good breeder, rather than *cough*Petco*cough* they can live for a while. For a rodent at least. ;3</html>
