In the US, theres a chance he might have a gun in his bedside table and there you go, hes on a crime spree. In canada this guy would very likely not have a gun anywhere, so its either go and spend money (which he doesnt have) on an illigal gun which is already a risk, or go in swinging a baseball bat and have himself taken down fast. Lack of guns helps more times than it hurts.
