(You get a full classical education too). Once you graduate from bootcamp you are augmented with a bunch of biological modifications that have a 50% chance of killing you. If you don't die, then they cut your skull open and jam a bunch of computer equipment in there to interface with the armor and an AI for parallel processing. Then you get put into the military at large.
