Desktop 2 shows me all my chats in Weechat (on top), activity on my server (left-bottom), music player (middle bottom) and miscellaneous system events logged by journalctl (right-bottom). Virtual desktop 3 runs Vmail, a curses-based mail client with vim-like bindings. Virtual desktop 4 to 9 are free, mostly used for gaming.
