Guess that rules out being an OS issue (still want a new distro when I get it going, though). CMOS battery out, trying a step beyond "select factory restore, hit return" for that angle. Heavily worried it's the onboard video on my motherboard, or some other part of the board. The sick part is, as much as it's screwing me over, I kinda like it. >.>
