One is shooting it with a high powered weapon, be it a rifle, a shotgun with deer hunting rounds, a crossbow or any other one-hit-kill weapon; or by jumping on it's back with a knife and gutting it like some people do. For the first method you need a backup weapon, a .44 magnum or .357 revolver. If it survived the first shot, you drop the weapon and grab the revolver and unload the six bullets on it.
