The contributors to the show were in awe that our fandom would actively seek out to create or contribute to charities, collaborate together to educate people on bullying and other issues, our unusually talented fanbase, amongst other highly positive qualities. Then we get Las Pegasus, fan reaction to alicorn Twilight, and fan reaction to EQG leaks. No one really knows what to think of us now, and keep in mind we still appear to be equivocal to furries in the eyes of people who don't get ponies. We're very close to reaching a point that is far worse than the death of the fandom.
