<html>Mine if I drop a question with you linux-y guru's and enthousiasts ? I have a laptop right here who has 2 horribly out of date OS's on it. One of them is Windows XP by the looks of it, and the other is Ubuntu 6.XX Dapper Drake. Should I even TRY to install Raring Ringtail ? Or would Knoppix ( or Damn Small Linux ) be a probable better choice ? ... The laptop itself is from around 1999 I guess. It is able to give me Internet and some openDDT. Which is pretty much all I ask. Next to USB support for Webcams and harddisks and a DVD recovery sector by sector tool. Should I even bother with the latest Ubuntu for easy noob access ?</html>
