Pokemon X/Y comes out in October. And can't really answer the last question... I just play whenever I feel like it. I'd guess with a game like Animal Crossing you'd be actively trying to find time to play, but I don't know for sure. I'm not even playing my 3DS games at the moment, just Gen 4 Pokemon games (should priobably mention, yes it is backwards compatible).
