The lame 2-episode DVDs are reminiscent of the G3 shorts that were offered in a similar format. I don't think Hasbro really understands the impact of the series and the fact that they could sell it as a whole. I'm hoping they figure it out eventually. The G3 movies didn't sell, but that's because they're AWFUL.
