We're pretty similar to that - short posts, @replies to others, subscriptions to others - but we also have our own features, such as groups, built-in spoiler support, and an open-ended public timeline. (Replies to posts being nested under the original is also something we have that Twitter doesn't have done as well - it's actually a relatively new feature, only brought in when we updated the base software we run a week or so ago.) We're basically just a place to hang out, talk about whatever, and just have fun.</html>
