I saw a clip of the intro and was like.. <i>why do they always have to make the characters all iconic and junk?</i> It reminded me too much of one of the remakes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by which I'd been disappointed, and I thought, <i>oh great, another childhood favorite mangled by poor writing and meh animation.. nice character designs though.. reminds me of PPG.</i> Of course, then I didn't know how mangled MLP had already been by generation 3, and I didn't know that one of the former PPG writers was directing this new version.
